Sammy Studios 

I co-founded Sammy Studios, a start up videogame publishing company, in 2002.  I was responsible for establishing all creative departments: art, game design, audio, cinematics, technical art, animation, concept art, and motion capture departments.  As the Chief Creative Officer I directed and supervised the creative departments, mentored the art and game design leads to endeavor for delivering high quality content, and closely collaborated with the programming and production departments to develop the best gameplay experiences.  In the end, we were able to recruit some of the best talent from the industry and grew the studio to over 200 employees.

High Moon Studios

After the Sega and Sammy merger, the internal game development team at Sammy Studios spun off and became independent game development studio, High Moon Studios in 2005.  I co-founded the studio and continued to build the creative departments to support multiple games in development as the Chief Creative Officer.  I co-created original intellectual properties including Darkwatch and became the Game Director of AAA third-person action title, The Bourne Conspiracy, leading a team of over 100 developers.  I also contributed to the studio sale and acquisition to Vivendi Blizzard in 2007.

Appy Entertainment, Inc.

Established in 2008, the former directors of High Moon Studios and myself set out to build a bootstrapped, independent mobile social game development company.  I participated in the conception and execution of a portfolio of original mobile titles which have been downloaded over 32 million times.  All games achieved top twenty status in their category on the iOS App Store, 4.5 store average consumer ratings and were prominently featured by Apple.  I also built efficient 2D and 3D art production pipelines for proprietary and middleware game engines empowering a small team of artists to generate large quantities of quality art content through data driven tools. I thoroughly evaluated and vetted applications, detailed outsourcing reference packages and designed modular asset production.

MZ San Diego

Established in 2014 as an acquire hire opportunity by parent company MZ in Palo Alto, CA and makers of the mega hits Game of War and Mobile Strike. Our studio was founded to develop new mobile games and expand the development capabilities as the first satellite external game development studio for the company.
